Thursday Jan 27, 2022
Thursday Jan 27, 2022
On today’s episode, we have the privilege of Ashlie Sanders (aka “The Nuanced Mormon”) joining us for a special “nuanced Mormon” episode. Ashlie is a mom of 3 who runs an Instagram account dedicated to being a voice for non-traditional Mormons. Beginning her account as an LGBTQ ally, during which she also officiated her brother and his now husband’s wedding, she realized a need for people of all types within the church- not just the “stereotypical” Latter-Day Saint. Her Instagram now has over 4,000 followers and is dedicated to those who may not always fit the mold. Join us as we dive into some hot topics within the church and try to create an environment that allows every person in our lives to know they are loved and cared about- member or not- and everything in between.

Question One:
I graduate college soon and have only ever had 1 summer fling that my parents didn't even know about and have never even had a job. I'm starting to feel embarrassed about my lack of life experience in general. I've also never been asked on a proper date. What do I do when I'm asked out and I don't even have a job or other dating experience to talk to the guy about? (22, she/her) 25:20
Question Two: I was watching this week in the bachelorette where they talked about what makes someone high maintenance. The guy said it was a girl who expects her partner to do everything for her and totally shot himself in the foot for saying it. So, what do you guys think makes a person high maintenance? Is it different for males and females? Is it always a bad thing? (32:53)
Question Three:
Do/did you value your family’s opinion of your significant other? Would you break up with someone if your parents/family/friends didn’t approve? (39:30)
